Check the basics first
- Update the game. Errors about an outdated version are fixed like this: close the game, restart Steam and wait for the update.
- Compare your hardware with the table below and make sure 20 GB of disk space is free.
- Verify the files: in Steam right-click the game → “Properties” → “Installed Files” → “Verify integrity”.
- Update your GPU drivers.

FPS drops when you move the mouse
This is a case described in Kefir’s help center: lowering the mouse polling rate in its companion software helps (for example from 1000 to 500 Hz or lower). It is cheap and often works.
Crashes and Easy Anti-Cheat
- Close overlays and screen recorders (Discord, GPU video capture and the like).
- Reboot the PC and start Steam again: the anti-cheat likes a clean boot.
- Check whether your antivirus is blocking the game.
- If crashes come with low memory, increase the Windows paging file.
The tips about overlays, antivirus and the paging file are general advice for games with Easy Anti-Cheat, not an official guide. Try them one at a time to see what worked.
How to report a bug
- Write to the Kefir help center and attach your UID, screenshots and a Steam receipt if it is about a payment.
- Mention your region, the approximate time (in UTC) and the server age.
- Describe what you were doing a minute before the crash: it makes the bug easier to reproduce.
